This transition formalizes a longstanding partnership between the practice and Mountainside Medical Center while ensuring patients continue to receive care from the physicians they know and trust.
Conveniently located less than one mile from Mountainside Medical Center, New Jersey Pulmonary and Sleep Associates will continue seeing patients in its current office. As part of Mountainside Medical Group, patients will benefit from closer integration with hospital based services, streamlined coordination of care, and expanded access to diagnostic and specialty services; as well as its network of award winning specialists and primary care physicians.
The practice is led by Dr. Lopa Patel and Dr. Hetal Patel, both of whom are board certified pulmonology, critical care, and sleep medicine; and have been valued members of the Mountainside Medical Center Medical staff for many years. Dr. Lopa Patel has served on the medical staff since 2010 and currently serves as Director of Pulmonary Medicine and the Medical Director of Sleep Medicine at Mountainside Medical Center. Dr. Hetal Patel joined the medical staff in 2016 and has extensive expertise in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
Together, they provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a wide range of pulmonary and sleep disorders including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic cough, shortness of breath, lung nodules, lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless leg syndrome. They also treat pediatric sleep conditions. The practice also offers advanced robotic bronchoscopy to aid in the evaluation of complex pulmonary conditions.
