We’re committed to providing the highest standards of care and safety throughout your treatment, from treatment planning to follow-up care.

Our Radiation Therapy Treatments
Our radiation therapy center provides a wide range of innovative advanced radiation treatments and services, including:
- 3-D Conformal Radiation Therapy: This therapy customizes radiation beams to match the shape of the tumor, allowing for more precise targeting and minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. It utilizes diagnostic imaging data, such as CT, MRI, and PET/CT, to plan the treatment.
- CT Simulation with MedRad Rapid Injector Capability: This method enhances patient comfort and stability by using a rapid intravenous injection of a contrast agent, which improves the quality and utility of simulation scans for radiation therapy planning, maximizing treatment accuracy.
- Electron Therapy: Delivered using a TrueBeam accelerator, this therapy targets superficial lesions, such as those on the skin, by carefully tuning the depth of the electron beam to treat only the affected area.
- Hypofractionated Radiation Therapy: This approach provides radiation therapy over a shorter treatment course compared to conventional methods while maintaining similar effectiveness and risk of side effects, commonly used for cancers such as breast, lymphoma, and lung.
- Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT): IMRT delivers varying intensities of radiation from multiple angles, precisely shaped to the contours of a tumor, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue and often combined with image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) for enhanced accuracy.
- Prone Breast Positioning: In this technique, the patient lies face down on a table with the treated breast hanging through an opening, allowing for targeted radiation while sparing lung and heart tissue, thus reducing the risk of long-term side effects.
- RapidArc: A form of IMRT on the TrueBeam platform, RapidArc delivers radiation to the entire tumor in a continuous 360-degree rotation, typically in less than two minutes, offering improved speed and dose conformality compared to earlier IMRT techniques.
- Respiratory Motion Management: This technique accounts for tumor movement due to breathing by using the RPM® technique or “bellows” during CT simulation, capturing ten snapshots of the tumor’s position with each breath to enhance treatment precision.
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT): SBRT delivers high doses of radiation extremely precisely over just a few sessions to targets outside the head, using advanced technology to track and adjust for tumor motion in real-time, achieving high local control rates in both curative and palliative settings.
- TrueBeam: A versatile system for image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), TrueBeam delivers treatments quickly while monitoring and compensating for tumor motion, enhancing precision and patient safety.
- TrueBeam Linear-Accelerator Based Stereotactic Radiosurgery: This noninvasive procedure uses a TrueBeam linear accelerator to deliver a single high-dose radiation treatment for malignant and benign tumors in the brain and other head regions. This is a precise, one-day treatment option.
Each patient’s treatment team chooses the most appropriate technology and customizes care to achieve the best outcome. Patients may also have opportunities to participate in clinical trials evaluating a promising new radiation therapy approach or application.
