About Maternal Fetal Medicine
Pregnancy is a time of great joy and anticipation, but it can also bring moments of concern, especially when unique circumstances arise. If you’ve been referred to a perinatologist, it’s natural to feel a mix of emotions. However, it’s important to remember that seeing a maternal-fetal medicine specialist is often a precautionary step designed to provide you with the best possible care and peace of mind. These specialists are here to support you and your baby, ensuring that you both receive the expert attention needed for a healthy pregnancy.
Expectant mothers may need to see a perinatologist if you have:

- A multiple pregnancy – twins, triplets or more
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Indications that the baby is not growing as expected
- Infectious diseases
- Recurrent pregnancy losses
- Toxemia or diabetes
Our goal is to help you navigate your pregnancy with confidence and ease, no matter what challenges may arise. If you need specialized care, trust that our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, expert support every step of the way.
