In just a short time with Mountainside, she has completed nearly 200 patient visits and interventions, connecting patients with vital resources including housing assistance, transportation, food pantries, financial support, Medicaid applications, charity care, home health services, mental health resources, and substance use rehabilitation programs. Her dedication helps remove barriers to care, empowering patients to remain engaged with their treatment and improving their overall well-being.
Filomena also plays an integral role in the Cancer Survivorship Program, where she builds meaningful relationships with patients throughout their cancer journey. Her kindness, compassion, and genuine concern leave a lasting impression, with many survivors seeking her out simply to share a smile, a hug, or words of gratitude. These heartfelt connections are a true reflection of the trust and comfort she provides during some of life’s most difficult moments.
