Cardiac Catheterization

Cardiac catheterization is a minimally invasive procedure used to directly treat a number of heart conditions. During a catheterization procedure, a very thin tube, called a catheter, is placed into one of your larger blood vessels by your interventional cardiologist and then carefully guided to the heart or artery where treatment is needed. This procedure is quick and painless, and in many cases you will be awake for it. Recovery is rapid, and results are almost immediate.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

In cases where you may have undergone a more invasive heart operation, or have suffered a cardiac event or injury, we provide cardiac rehabilitation. Our program focuses on education, exercise, and nutrition designed around your specific needs and under the supervision of a team of experts. Our goal is to help you regain strength and health so that you can live comfortably.

$99 CT Calcium Scoring

Heart screenings are crucial for identifying potential cardiovascular issues before they become serious or life-threatening. Many heart conditions, such as high blood pressure, arrhythmias, or blocked arteries, often develop without noticeable symptoms, making regular screenings vital for early detection. Early diagnosis through screenings allows for timely intervention, reducing the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other complications. Additionally, heart screenings can provide insight into your overall heart health, empowering you to make informed lifestyle choices and work with your healthcare provider to prevent long-term damage.

At Mountainside Medical Center, we offer calcium-scoring tests to help you stay informed about your heart health. CT calcium scoring is a noninvasive test used to see inside your heart’s arteries and determine how much plaque has accumulated inside them. Arterial plaques are very common, and are typically made up of calcium, cholesterol, and fats that exist in the blood. CT calcium testing uses a computerized tomography (CT) scan to create a picture of your heart and arteries for your doctor, who can then work with you to create a plan of care that will work best for you.
