If you answer NO to all the questions on the questionnaire, schedule a phone screening with a gastroenterologist to receive your prescription and schedule your appointment for a colonoscopy.
If your answer is YES to any of these questions except question #10, please reach out to your primary care provider for next steps in getting your colonoscopy scheduled.
To schedule an appointment for a colonoscopy online, you must meet the following criteria:
- Are you over 75 years old?
- Is your Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 50? Calculate your BMI using the standard body mass index calculator.
- Are you currently experiencing any of the following symptoms?
- Rectal bleeding
- Blood in stool
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Swallowing issues
- Are you currently experiencing any of the following symptoms?
- Abdominal pain
- Melena
- Abnormal weight loss or gain
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Chest pain
- Are you on a blood thinner other than aspirin? Common blood thinners include Plavix, Coumadin, Warfarin, Aggrenox, Xarelto, Effient, or Pradaxa.
- Are you taking oral steroids?
- Are you receiving dialysis?
- Are you on oxygen?
- Do you suffer from any type of heart condition, such as congestive heart failure, AFIB, have a stent or pacemaker, or have had a bypass?
- Are you taking a GLP1 or Phentermine? If yes, please hold for 7 days before the procedure. You do not need a clinic visit because of this.
