About Sean Herman, M.D.

Dr. Herman earned his medical degree from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he completed an awarded year of craniofacial research on genetics and 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome (DiGeorge Syndrome). He trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He is board-certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and completed subspecialty training in cleft, craniofacial, and pediatric plastic surgery at The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Herman has a special interest in gender-affirming surgery and facial feminization. He has presented research at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Craniofacial Surgery, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
