About AnnGene Anthony, M.D.
Dr. AnnGene Anthony, a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) and board-certified family medicine physician, leads Mountainside’s new Menopause Care Clinic, expanding access to specialized, comprehensive care through a whole-person approach to midlife women’s health.
She provides expert management of symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood changes; hormone therapy consultations; lifestyle and nutrition guidance; and preventive screenings to support long-term bone and cardiovascular health. Dr. Anthony is committed to helping patients navigate menopause with confidence through individualized care, education, and ongoing support.
Dr. Anthony’s path into medicine was driven by both personal experience and a strong interest in public health and disease prevention. She finds great fulfillment in building meaningful relationships with her patients and working alongside them as they navigate their health at every stage of life.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Anthony earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, and a Master of Public Health from Brown University School of Public Health in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Anthony completed her residency in Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island/Brown University in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She also completed a fellowship in Faculty Leadership Development in Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island/Brown University.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Anthony is an avid exercise enthusiast who enjoys HIIT training and running. She is also a devoted listener of audiobooks and podcasts, a music lover, and a proud parent of three adult children. At home, she is kept company by her 100-pound “fur baby,” Hudson.
